Anna Kohls earned her Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary. She also holds a Master of Education from Arizona State University and a dual major in Elementary and Special Education from Grand Canyon University.
Anna enjoys working with couples, families, and individuals. As a former elementary school teacher of ten years, Anna enjoys working with families to develop close relationships built on mutual trust and clear communication. Anna works with a variety of marital and family issues including: intimacy, communication, anxiety disorders, depression, self-esteem, family roles and responsibilities, anger, forgiveness, abuse, boundary work, and other family and couple issues. Anna did her practicum at a site that specializes in helping hurting people to cope with various traumas. Her passion is watching others grow and transform in the ways in which they desire and in creating a safe environment, where people feel safe to explore, share, and process their lives.
Anna works from a family systems perspective, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman couple therapy, and Structural Therapy. Anna is also able to provide Christian counseling to families, couples and individuals who request it. Anna is currently under the supervision of Dr. Raymond E. Branton, PsyD, LP.
