Joshua is a graduate of Mississippi College with a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. Also, Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Bible from Freed-Hardeman University. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctoral of Education in Community Care and Counseling, with a cognate in Marriage and Family Therapy at Liberty University. Additionally, he has completed level 1 & 2 trainings in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Joshua primarily operates from a family systems perspective, while also utilizing Emotion-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, and Solution Focused Therapies, along with Gottman Method Couples therapy. He is currently pursuing his license in professional counseling (LPC) under the supervision of Dr. John Michael.
Joshua is a Certified PREPARE-ENRICH Counselor and can provide pre-marital and marital counseling and assessments. Also, he has experience in offering child abuse prevention and intervention strategies to parents and caregivers and is proficient in facilitating domestic violence, and spouse abuse prevention and intervention programs, workshops, and counseling services. Furthermore, he has experience in helping with various addictions, trauma, marital intimacy, family and couple communication, grief, adolescent difficulties and transitions, blended families, divorce recovery, and difficulties with anxiety and depression.
Joshua enjoys serving Believers; over the past 13 years, Joshua has served as an Associate Minister, Youth Minister and Family Minister; therefore, he is equipped to provide Christian counseling to families, couples and individuals upon request.
