Nicholas seeks to be a person of hope. Hope amidst present sorrow, suffering, and the very real challenges in this life. As a person of hope, he considers it his highest honor and privilege to walk with people as they discover their own answers, hope, and healing. Nicholas desires for everyone to live a life that is authentically theirs, whole – hearted, and full of courage to embrace all of life, no matter what has come before.

As an eclectic therapist, he utilizes multiple different modalities (CBT, DBT, EMDR) to assist clients with a variety of problems to achieve change, all in the context of a supportive, sensitive, and genuine therapeutic relationship. He deeply believes in each person having a unique story full of experiences and facets that are specific to that person alone. His professional background includes working with children, adolescents, families, couples, and adults and seriously mentally ill (SMI) individuals in different community mental health clinics throughout Phoenix. While having diverse experiences in the mental health “world,” Nicholas specializes in treating trauma and abuse, grief/loss, suicidality and self-harming behaviors, family of origin/relational issues, and mood disorders (depression, anxiety, etc.). If you are struggling with any of these issues, Nicholas would be honored to work with you and offers a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs.

Additionally, Nicholas is bilingual in Spanish and English and is able to offer culturally sensitive therapeutic services in Spanish for those who desire it. Nicholas earned his Master’s Degree in Counseling from Arizona State University and is a state licensed and nationally certified professional. As a Licensed Associate Counselor, Nicholas currently practices under the supervision of Dr. John Michael and Dr. Raymond Branton at Professional Counseling Associates while working towards full professional licensure.

Personally, he is a huge soccer fan, lover of all things art and literature, and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Additionally, he loves to travel, experience other cultures, and is continuing to learn new languages.
