Originally from Colorado, Ash has been living in the Phoenix area for the past 6 years and a is finishing her Master’s program at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. Ash is completing her practicum for her degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Christian Counseling. Ash also earned her undergraduate degree from GCU in Early Childhood Education and Psychology, after which she became a kindergarten teacher and has been inspired to help children achieve personal goals and navigate the ups and downs of life. In addition to being a teacher, Ash has also been an Au Pair for children in China and Poland, teaching the kids English.
Ash’s experience with kids has given her a passion for helping them thrive amid change and/or trauma. She also works with adolescents, college students, families, and individual adults using approaches from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical- Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Ash believes that healing occurs when the whole person is considered- body, mind, and soul. Ash is committed to integrating her faith, Scripture, and prayer into the counseling process for those who wish to include those aspects. She is humbled and honored to be working with the team at Professional Counseling Associates. Ash will be working with PCA as a counseling intern and will be under the supervision of Dr. Raymond Branton, Dr. John Michael, and Billie Moffit.
