Robert holds a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary (PA) and a Master of Social Work from Temple University. He is licensed as a clinical social worker in both Arizona and Pennsylvania.

Robert provides individual, couples, and family therapy. He comes to Professional Counseling Associates having spent his career in a variety of clinical spaces including community mental health agencies, hospitals, and managed care. He is committed to helping people change the behaviors that keep them from living the life that they value. He has training in Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (for OCD, Anxiety, Hoarding), Habit Reversal Training (for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Robert integrates religious and spiritual traditions into his therapeutic work in a client-directed manner. Robert practices in a straightforward, calming manner, viewing therapy as a true partnership between client and clinician.

Robert grew up in the Valley, and has recently returned after a 16-year sojourn on the East Coast. He is a member of an Anglican Church, and resides in Tempe with his wife, two children, and one, very intrusive goldendoodle.
