Counseling Intern

Corrie is completing her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Northern Arizona University. Corrie brings a broad range of professional and personal experience to her counseling, with expertise in supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including executive-level professionals, adults and children with developmental disabilities, first responders, ministry leaders, blended families, and parents navigating the challenges of raising children with disabilities.

With a strong commitment to helping individuals build and sustain healthy lives, Corrie works with people who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, and those seeking support for blended family dynamics. She also has experience in crisis intervention, addiction recovery, working with couples, and supporting women through various stages of life.

Corrie approaches therapy from a whole-person perspective, focusing on strengths within each individual or family system while fostering coping strategies and skill-building to address challenges. Her theoretical approach is integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Somatic practices.

Corrie and her husband have been married for 10 years and have a blended family with 6 children. Corrie and her husband are deeply committed to each other and their faith in Jesus. In her free time, outside of work and ministry involvement, Corrie enjoys time with family, creating incredible charcuterie boards for her weekly family dinners, time with friends hiking and exploring outdoors. She also enjoys traveling to new and familiar places, including seeing her friends, children, and ministry partners in Kenya and Uganda.
