Kellie believes that counseling can be a transformative experience and considers it an honor to come alongside her clients and help them to achieve their therapeutic goals. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Phoenix Seminary and Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State University. Kellie helps her clients with a balanced strengths-based approach that includes a deep level of empathy and care for the individual. Kellie also has experience working with children and teens both locally and overseas as a teacher, mentor, and ministry leader. For clients interested in integrating their faith into counseling, Kellie works with people to see their past and present difficulties in light of God's promises and believes that one's faith is a great source of comfort and hope during challenging times.
Kellie works with children, teens, and women of all ages. In her work with children, she uses an interactive approach, adopting play therapy, sand-tray, and art-therapy techniques. She offers parent sessions to help parents make the most of the therapeutic skills their children are learning. In her work with adults and teens she has experience helping women heal from childhood trauma, grief/loss, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, codependency, relationship conflicts, betrayal trauma, boundary issues, and stage of life transitions. She uses a variety of modalities for therapy, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment theory, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
Kellie and her family are currently planting a church in Mesa, Arizona with their ministry team. Kellie enjoys cooking for friends and family and traveling up north in her spare time. Kellie and her husband Chandler have been married since 2015 and live in Mesa, Arizona with their son.
